Walk For Water

This March I will be aiming to walk 155km (approximately 96.3 Miles) for Walk For Water to stand with women and girls, globally, who are disadvantaged by the need to walk 5km or more for water every day.

Worldwide, 696 million people - almost 1 in 10 - do not have access to clean water (according to WaterAid’s website). Millions of children, especially girls, miss fundamental education to take on the burden of acquiring water for their families. This greatly impacts and disadvantages children of already dire situations.

Many families also experience bouts of sickness or acquire preventable disease from a lack of water, hygiene, or from being forced to drink dirty water.

WaterAid works to bring essential taps, sinks and toilets to schools, fit sustainable systems in communities to help combat preventable disease, and bring water closer to homes. Your donations will help to keep this work thriving.
